Attention, those of you who own Comcast Corporation (CMCSA): CMCSA has completed a spinoff of a new company, Versant Media Group, Inc. (VSNT). More information on this spinoff can be found here. As part of the spinoff, holders of CMCSA stock will receive one share of VSNT for every 25 shares of CMCSA owned on the date of record, December 16th 2025.
Please note: Calls that were sold against CMCSA last month stand a chance of being exercised at present. If this does occur at options expiration on January 16th, the shares of VSNT that you presently own will be called away as well, and no further action will be needed on your part.
On Trade Day, if you still own shares of VSNT, you can sell the shares and apply the proceeds as a dividend. At this time, we are not recommending any further action be taken with regard to CMCSA. Continue to trade the position by the tenets of the Method as usual.
